Spring Update
It hasn't gone well at all. I've applied to every job within 200 miles, and it has gotten to the point of "Don't call us, we'll call you." for a response. I've been very careful to not spend money, but I haven't been able to make much either. I may contact the carnival circuit again to see if I can jump back on and make some more money. And this time look for work while I am traveling, then maybe I can settle near a job after or during the circuit. But right now I am pretty stressed from all of this job hunting, I need to relax and clear my head. Maybe get some more writing done when I am level-headed. I haven't worked on the book much since Spring began, I think it's about time I get back to it...
My Last Week Working The Carnival.
With winter and or snow starting to hit everywhere, this will be my last week before I get a free ticket to travel back where I started. To be honest, it kind of sucked. The work is really hard and you don't get paid enough to do it. Unless you are just at a cash register, it just isn't worth it as a career. I really hope I can get a real sustainable job because it was nearly soul-sucking being tired all the time. On the upside, I have plenty of money to get me through winter. So that means I can look for holiday work and write on my spare time! I've had a lot of time to ponder what to write next, so progress should be smooth to make up the time. In any case, happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to everyone when it comes around! I may be too busy to make another entry until around New Years.
It Has Been A Ride!
I'm still doing my tour with the carnival, and still roasting in the heat every day! Thankfully it started raining more often, so that's a relief. It may start raining more and more, and the more it does, the more free time I get. Progress on the book is still really slow, but I feel progress may pick up once it starts cooling down and/or raining more often. I hope everyone is doing well, I heard a hurricane tore up Florida, and I hope anyone there pulled through with none to minimal loss. Anyways, Winter can't come soon enough, I am tired of sweating buckets!
So Far So Good!
Been touring with the carnival since June, the work ain't too bad and the pay is good surprisingly. Only thing that sucks is that it's blazing hot outside and I am sweating up a storm... Anyways this should support me for a while, at least until Winter time. Progress on the book will be very slow, this is due to me passing out within an hour of my shift ending on most days. But I am not giving up on it, I refuse to give up!
